Coming Home: A Mindfulness Retreat
with Karen Laing

September 28-30, 2018

Harbert, Michigan

“Karen is an exceptional leader, moderator, educator & meditation guide. I felt supported and free in the practice and in general.”

“I wanted to explore & further my meditation practice in a quiet setting around other thoughtful & curious people. Expectation beautifully met!”

Join us for a weekend of mindfulness meditation, mindful walking and mindful yoga guided practices

If you have an established mindfulness practice, or are new to mindfulness, this WisdomWay™ Institute retreat will give you guided support to practice ‘being mode’ over ‘doing mode’.

We’ll use the wisdom of the body and awareness of our senses to practice coming home to our own experience, just as it is.

A retreat offers an opportunity to let go of responsibilities, let go of effort, let go of needing to become anything at all as we practice acceptance, curiosity and letting go.

We will also have periods of noble silence and time to connect and reflect. All bodies will be accommodated.

We’ll stay at the beautiful but simple farmhouse (Camp Hazelhurst) in Southwest Michigan—adjacent to a private Lake Michigan beach front.

We’ll explore the 4 domains of inquiry and practice and how they apply to caregiving in both a professional and personal context and we’ll emerge with the Commitments of Mindful Caregiving: Aims for an approach to caregiving that sets the path for sustainability, resiliency and compassion/self-compassion.

Fee:  $125 or SAVE 30% on your workshop fee when you register for both the weekend retreat and the First Step Commitments Training. Can be combined with additional early bird or other discounts on your retreat. Includes continental breakfast and lunch.
